Through his melanoma awareness campaign as part of the United Again Skin Cancer project, Pierre Fabre offers a more creative approach to reach as many people as possible, and wishes to encourage research into the early signs of this skin cancer.

Monitor unsuspected areas

Melanoma can develop anywhere on the body. Although the areas most exposed to the sun are the most vulnerable, it can also appear on unsuspected and poorly exposed areas, such as the soles of the feet, the spaces between the fingers and toes, the scalp and the oral mucosa. br>

Ask for help from a loved one

Self-examination, which consists of scrupulously observing the skin, is essential to identify the first suspicious lesions. And, for difficult-to-access areas such as the scalp and back, asking for help from a loved one or a healthcare professional is essential.

The importance of early detection

Paying attention to your skin is essential to detecting melanoma at an early stage, when it is most likely to be treated effectively. The later the diagnosis, the more likely the cancer has progressed and the lower the chances of survival. The objective of the #WeHaveYouBack campaign is to encourage awareness of the importance of prevention and early detection to effectively fight melanoma.
